1.      Private case management – 700+ individuals, 5 agencies: MCFI. Kind Care, Goodwill, added new additions

5.      Payment unit – different process and system.  HELPFUL WITH BILLS DIRECT TO SUPERVISORS OR “COLLECTIVE DRAWER” (SEE HANDOUT) DO NOT SEND TO SOMEONE NO LONGER HERE.

6.      Trainings with case manager may ask providers to co-present some in future for specifics of less obvious issues/populations

D.     Did not get the crisis grant – thanks to those who supported; Waukesha and Ozaukee Cty got those grants; Rob Hen ken:

E.      QUESTIONS: Bus tickets vs. co pay provided – this is to restrict to use only the budgeted amount allowable: looked at roster and had to either remove or they moved – coverage was based on original roster and if these changes occurred due to some not included originally.  There are no resources to commit to for new individuals.  Eliminated growth potential for services due to this.  Possible SS & SSI SSIE assistance to help compensate; Issues of individuals using their tickets and ID or who is who; who is issuing the tickets: some individuals will eat it – need co-pay.

1.      not necessarily beneficial to us – maybe more details get them to Perry and maybe us or small group

2.      unsure if we should be involved, but don’t want to leave anything potentially relevant to our clients.

NO ONE GETS PAID ON THE 3 DAYS – WORK, HOME, TRANSIT, ETC   What was the $ projected savings

D.     Transit Committee: Cheri Bruch

1.      Copy of letter sent to TPAC send Aug 3 and Sept 7, 2004 – no response as of yet

2.      Updates: still complaints re: early drop-off; Laidlaw installed cameras in vans, slight discussion of lawsuit (no details)

3.      Question raised to group: on days Transit is shut down (i.e., 9/3/04) why are all the day programs closed?  Transit will take clients with tickets/Residential transports?

a.       Do day programs get paid per contract?

b.      Are providers going to get paid in exchange?

c.       Will they be closed for November: Curative – No, MCFI – No, Goodwill – Yes

d.      Day programs do not get paid for those days

E.      Region Health Care Conference: Bob Glowacki

1.      Follow up from couple years ago

2.      invitation only

3.      how to make things available through T19 – dental, medical

4.      Accessibility and other issues for just our region

5.      January 2, 3 0r 4  Thursday Medical College

6.      Goal is to address Health Care disparities in the region.

7.      MADDSA is represented well at this time

F.      Self Advocacy/Voter Education: Sally Pauers

1.      Handout: How to get consumers to vote and voting process, 10/11 Kindcare South, also video training

2.      Trying to get support and ideas for what else they can do to get information our – what other needs are out there.
