- Residential service is not in process for new providers at this time due to an already existing vacancies with known providers
- SLO meetings to be reinstated 2005 (schedule out in Dec 2004)
- Case Management agencies continue to focus expecting more contact/flow of communication
- Will be calling for follow up service info and feedback. How funds are supporting individuals
- Toured MCFI new facility – this was a positive change and reflects on our community/system/support environments
Status Marion Franciscan Relocation
15 individuals with 6 weeks left; only 2 individuals who are concerns for ability to relocate; 3 from Northern Center by De/Jan
Community & $ not quite there and this new initiative ICFMR’s to downsize (distance, lack of ability to get to know each indiv. poss. challenges)
ICFMR rebalancing Act) - $ to support people in ICFMR is only amount available to support indiv. In community – posing problems for ability to meet needs of indiv. For these costs.
System perspective: are we ready for this change, personnel support, emotional change and stability.
2006 – or rates to go up? Unsure. Will revisit at later date; Health and Family Services reorganizing capacity team to leave southern WI center and may affect functioning due to teams ability to relocate – changes planned but not yet final.

C. Transition Committee: No attendance yet: All LEAP (Local Educ. Agency Promoting) – Quad graphics in West Allis; primarily suburban participants from schools – stress the importance of this service.

- Concerns have increased – majority re: changing times (scheduler); this was a past problem until they had an internal audit and people were standing over staff shoulders monitoring how whole system was functioning. Now audit and eyes/people are gone

- Groups together to further identify issues of health Care system for persons with disabilities (southeastern focus) . How to address that or those issues to help develop policies.

- 12/14 strategic plan meeting with county board supervisor to help get idea what support is needed to help get more funding (ARC) 10-2PM block out
- Spoke of IFMR relocation act
- Group against litigation WCA for addressing on state level on raising awareness of waiting list; RFW: KIP increase efforts – county board passed a resolution to find this but still will need to fight to keep it in system. Federal level: ANCHOR: advocacy campaign for awareness of professionalism and direct care staff Act + with state centers. Hand outs and petitions to hand out to all your staff and return to MADDSA to go to Washington every 100 petitions; sand a letter to governor for support.
