• Informal sessions with nursing home facilities to community – update, informal sessions, Flyer will go out.

• Training Issue: Caroline Loan: Developing training for Crisis Intervention/Prevention – could she come to talk to MADDSA for ideas: Martha will approach Perry with details for next meeting.

• list that members have paid; balance: $3200-$3300; income tax – 25,000 limit – so not needed to file
• Are we willing to support caregiver conference in fall and recognition? Will vote next time on $1000-$1500 for speaker
• Tom has concerns over reserves being used and not building back up
• Lois spoke of conference for recognition of direct care worker. Providers will be asked to submit nominees for October 2004

• Milwaukee Training Initiative: Julie Lauer ARC; 2005 conference September 2005 settling down on 4 keynote speakers, 10 breakout sessions and duplicates so no one misses it. * University of IL/Chicago will be attending. * Motivational Speaker

1. County has sent out limited amount of tickets for individuals to go to and from day program

a. Sandra expressed last month to plan for problems and get extra tickets so services go smoothly; however, many faxed complaints this week on drivers refusing to take clients without ticket or copay. This is NOT Transit’s fault.

2. Where to buy and will be looking into more info on prepay at/through Transit

3. Medical Appointments – seeking a T19 provider for these rides – will share the name and number as soon as we hear it

F. People Can’t Wait: SSI Care Management – eventually will be required. KIP or KOP you are ineligible. Tom – concerned about language of document.
